Cinematic and Narrative ideas

Cinematic ideas

We have decided to do a social realism film, about suicide prevention and the issues like bullying within schools. To portray the aspect of suicide prevention we originally were going to use a split screen to two peoples day side by side whiter very similar (going to the same place, in the same place. In the backgrounds of each others POV) and one tried to commit suicide at the end, but the second pop stops them and the shots match up perfectly for the only part in the film.

By using POV shots it can demonstrate how the issues referenced to in the film happen to thousands across the country and world and can really happen to anyone. It also allows us to have the other actor in the background so the two sides of the screen kind of match up but not perfectly. This is to showcase that many people deal with thoughts of suicide but we can never know who they are.

Narrative ideas

In our film we have a narrative with a conflict between two characters, which we can see when 2 characters are talking about the other behind their back. At the end the conflict is arguably solved when one character prevents the other from committing suicide. This is to show that we took bit more time for people, even if we don't like them, we can stop teen suicide from happening.

We were also thinking of doing a narrative with an enigma, and we'd do this by not showing the characters in each others povs until the very end. this would've been done to show that even if we don't know someone very well or at all we should help them because it's in our human nature

Is sat at his incredibly messy desk with piles of papers and empty fast food containers smoking a cigarette surrounded by papers and documents the office is dark and messy. The walls are grey and the overall feel of the room is very drab and depressing, which the fmily photos upon the desk juxtapose. Marcia has heavy bags under his eyes and messy hair sticking up everywhere. He leans back in his chair sighing, he quickly becomes frustrated with the thought of the trial and it's fustrations which we see through his body language and facial expresions being very slouched over and having little expression in his face. He stands and throws the desks contents to the ground in a fit of fustration. He stands breathing heavily looking...

Directors infulence essay

The most important influence on a film can be described as the Auter, which is usually discussed in relation to the director but could also be anyone who takes creative control of a project. For example, the film Blade runner the auter can be described as Ridley Scott The director or even some of the actors, like the actor who played Batty. He could be described as an auter because his final monologue he wrote himself, therefore making him, arguably, an auter of Blade Runner. The director is the most important part of the film in regards to how its shot and the plot, but not always the finished product. Studios tend to mess with films and the directors vision for finished product is not always brought to light and the studio can mess with films so much post and during production that its far from the directors original vision. Blade Runner and The Lady from Shanghai are two excellent examples of this. Both films the directors were restricted artistically and budget wise. Warner ...

After sifting through some papers and files he picks up a file marked 'glove' he shakes his head and lets out an exasberated sigh before standing and opening the file which is full of reports about the finding of the glove and why it may have been viable evidence.  He flicks through various photos and When he turns to the image of the glove we are met with a montage of the glove being presented in court and OJ trying it on in court Back in his office he scoffs while closing the file and throwing the file onto the desk with litte care. He goes behind the desk and produces a half empty bottle of vodka which he's clealy been making his way through and a glass, while poring the glass he says in a passive aggressive tone with a humourless laaugh, "If the glove doesn't fit you must acquit" He fills the glass and drinks it in one go, he makes a grimace and pours another glass he takes a small swig before sitting ...
