Typewriter font- California 1995 1:00AM on a black screen. Fades out to a BLANK SCREEN ONLY SOUND IS CLOCK TICKING

"MARCIA" A curly haired man with an athletic build in a scruffy suit with the top buttons undone and a faint stain on his white sirt. Is sat at his incredibly messy desk with piles of papers and empty fast food containers smoking a cigarette surrounded by papers and documents the office is dark and messy. The walls are grey and the overall feel of the room is very drab and depressing, which the fmily photos upon the desk juxtapose.

Marcia has heavy bags under his eyes and messy hair sticking up everywhere. He leans back in his chair sighing, he quickly becomes frustrated with the thought of the trial and it's fustrations which we see through his body language and facial expresions being very slouched over and having little expression in his face.

He stands and throws the desks contents to the ground in a fit of fustration. He stands breathing heavily looking down upon the mess before running a hand through his hair and crouching down to the ground to clear up the mess.

He picks up a few documents before staring at a magazine in his hand with a regretful and embarresed expression.it is then revealed that it is Macias leaked beach photos (must be the photos originally leaked to the press but with everything covered by a black bar)

He stands inspecting the magazine running a hand through his hair and a look of morose curiosity while inspecting the magazine cover in deep thought

(if possible will cut to footage of Marcia crying in court or news coverage of when it came out)

His look turns to a frustrated anger and he throws the magazine aimlessly into the bin which is overflowing with cigarettes, empty packets and various bottles of vodka.

He Rubs his hands together and returns to the task. After sifting through some papers and files he picks up a file marked 'glove' he shakes his head and lets out an exasberated sigh before standing and opening the file which is full of reports about the finding of the glove and why it may have been viable evidence.

He flicks through various photos and When he turns to the image of the glove we are met with a montage of the glove being presented in court and OJ trying it on in court

2.

Back in his office he scoffs while closing the file and throwing the file onto the desk with litte care. He goes behind the desk and produces a half empty bottle of vodka which he's clealy been making his way through and a glass, while poring the glass he says in a passive aggressive tone with a humourless laaugh,

"If the glove doesn't fit you must acquit" He fills the glass and drinks it in one go, he makes a grimace and pours another glass he takes a small swig before sitting amongst the papers and documents. He sorts through them putting some in the bin and some on the desk when he comes across a documents that looks much different to the rest.

A sombre yet frustrated expression crosses his face as he opens it. It is a document containing divorce and custody documents. He looks at a picture on his desk of him, his ex-wife and the 2 children, it is obviousy a happy scene and Macrias face fills with remorse for the life they had.
He stands and picks up the picture looking at it with a fondness at the memory..
FLASHBACK:
Distorted pov shot- his wife and him watching the kids playing. There's an awkwardness between the two when the children are out of sight she scoots across the bench and gives him a dirty look. He runs his hands through his hair and looks down at the ground with a solemn look upon his face
Back in the office
He runs a hand through his hair similarly before placing the picture back on the desk facing downward.
He sits in his chair with the glass of vodka in hand. He picks up a remote and turns the tv on. It is a evening talk show gossip channel that has female guests and host. They turn to the subject of the OJ trial and then onto Marcia's appearance.
They first talk about his hair and make crude comparisons to sheep and just mocking his overall appearance (there will be mocking photos of her on the screen). They then begin discussing her choice of a shorter skirt(change to shorts in this context) at OJ's house tour. His leaked photos are once again brought up but the tone of their discussion is criticising and sexualising "Marcia" for the choice
3.
They begin talking about Johnny cocrin and the comparison of how they're talking about them shows the hypocrisy and makes "Marcia" mad so he turns the tv off angrily. He sands and storms out of the office, slamming the door behind him. The screen cuts to back.
The words
"Marcia Clarke was persecuted by the media throughout and after the trial of Mr OJ Simpson. It is important to note no other legal officials associated with the case faced the same brutall and relentless criticisms of their appearance or character like Ms Clarke."
Appear upon the screen in the same typewriter font as the start.
The words disappear from the screen we are met with,A blonde man with curly hair blue eyes and pale skin dressed in light wash mom jeans, and a grey HARVARD crewneck tucked into a brown belt9MALE PRINCESS DIANNA), walks into a 'den' type of room where it it's very neat with family memorobilia with a grey, brown and royal navy colour palette. He goes to a mini fridge tucked away into the corner of the room and disguised as an ordinary cabinet and produces a bootle of beer. He open the boreal with an extravegant bottle opener before sitting on the large, worn it, brown leather sofa and picks up the newspaper on the coffee. It is deadly silent
He reads the headline and visibly stiffens, it's a headline about his leaked gym photos and making many rude and intrusive comments about his body,he observes it with a morose and tired look upon his face, clearly sick of the ridicule he receives daily from the media and royal family themselves due to the after effects of the divorce from the princess of wales(FEMALE PRINCE CHARLES, PRINCE OF WALES). He discards the paper, throwing it somewhere and not even looking before turning on the tv to which it is a new covering, talking about topics such as his appearance, the engagement to Colin Shand(MALE CAMILLA) and his ability to properly parent the heirs to the throne.
Montage of real media coverage about her and Charles's divorce and mocking headlines- espescially calling her 'di' as it shows she does not have the same respect as the rest of the royal family.
A red headed girl(YOUNG FEMALE HARRY) runs in excitedly and jumps on him he smiles gently and puts the beer down before embracing the young girl with a large suffocating hug, and it is obvious of their close loving relationship that led to his demise as prince of wales

4.
"Hey harry how was Mummy's? Wheres Wendy?"
(YOUNG FEMALE PRINCE WILLAIM)
Harry sits up leans on the back of her feet and tilts her head to the side, in a very innocent and childlike manner, before answering

"it was fun grandpa
(QUEEN ELIZABETH II)
took us to see the horses. Wendy went upstairs because she's being grumpy"
He smiles at the little girl and tucks a piece of hair behind her ear but subtly winces at the mention of the sovereign, the very person who exiled him from the royal family.

"go get ready for bed I'll tuck you in in a minute"
The girl hugs him with a large, precious smile and then runs out the door and up the stairs. He leans back and looks fondly out the door the child just ran out of.
MONTAGE of Dianna and Charles after Harry and Williams' births and media coverage from when the boys were be born. Also the media saying that she was not a good mother. Also showing footage of them at disney land and just her being a hands on passionate and caring mother.
His face has drooped and he picked the beer up once again taking a large swig of the beverage. He folded in on himself over running a hand through his hair while taking a deep sigh. He stands abruptly and there is a cut to the top of the stairs.
He slowly climbs the dark, cold stariway with the only light source being the moon and a few pathetic electric lights, the stairway echoing with his footsteps as he climbed them. He looks up and examines the photos that decorated the walls, photos of the family prior to the separation and photos of young William and Harry. He stops at the top and looks at a photo of all of them with a soft,
MONTAGE of when the two split and how much heat came down on Diana and how she was treated by the royals and media as a result.
5.
He sighs with a solemn expression at the photo and the memories before walking down the hallway to a door His hand hovers over the door knob before taking a deep breath, producing a weak smile and opening the door, letting it shut behind him.
It is a back screen yet we hear the sound of the door closing. In the same typewriter font as before:

29th August 1997
A black screen and there is a faint sound of hear man and a woman arguing, the volume increases until there is a sudden smash and we see a broken lamp on the ground with droplets of blood surronding it. A petite girl is cowering on the ground next to the mess. she looks down at her hands and see's the blood on them before looking up at the man stood over her breathing heavily. She is petite and both are adorned in comfy casual clothes, she has mousy brown hair and he has dark brown hair in a quiff with blonde highlights. They could be described as the stereotypical young British couple.
It is completley silent other than his heavy breathing, after few seconds his face changes to one of realisation of what he' done and he fades into a face of regret. He stands straight and runs his hands through his hair and across his face while almost panting and muttering 'sorry''s while the girl begins to cry, her head in her lap and curled up into a foetal position. He paces the room before crouching in the corner and he ebgins to shake from crying while muttering 'sorry' over and over again. He himself begins to cry and the two are quietly sobbing while on opposite sides of the room, the smashed lamp with the blood in the middle.
This is immediately followed by news coveriings, tweets, tiktoks etc about Caroline Flack being labelled as an abuser, it not only is harsh damning from the news and papers but also people on social media making fun and light of the situation.
We see the same man in the same flat but it isclear time has passed. The only lightsource in the room is from a new lamp. Some marks and blood stains are left on the floor, the flat is messy and clearly hasn't been cleaned in a good while. We see him on his phone with tears rolling down his face he has a ratty beard and messy hair wearing joggers and a large hoodie that does not appear like its been cleaned. There is a bottle of vodkaon the table whixh is 3/4 empty he takes a large swig before standing and walking into the kitchen and opening a cabinet from which he produces a noose he looks at it and breaks-down crying holding it to his chest before stading and walking into the bathroom, closing the door behind him.
6.
AT THE SOUND OFTHE DOOR CLOSING THE SCREEN AGAIN GOES BLACK WITH THE WORDS "CAROLINE FLACK. 1979-2020 AGE 40"
the screen fades to black and images of all 3 women appear on the screen with their names under them.

Short film analysis 2 Connect

This short film follows a woman on a bus at night in a busy city. The film uses eyeline matches to establish relationships between the man and the woman as the nature of their exchanged looks gives us a sense of a flirtatious relationship. When the elderly woman is shot for the bus seat by another passenger it shows that in society we always go the extreme. There is a shot of the woman we are following and the man from before' s hands, they obey the rule of thirds at first staying on other sides of the screen and not using the middle third. However they invade the central third but are separated by people getting off the bus, this could be representative of society impacts our relationships and comes between thigs we maybe are destined for. The synchronized movements at the end are also a testament to how society conditions people to be the same and just be part of a machine and crushes any individuality.

Auter signatures in Lady from Shagnhai and Blade Runner

Every film director has an auteur signature and it is needed to bring a film character and add personal touches that make the film better as a whole as the director has clearly re-used techniques that they enjoy so it gives the film more individuality as each auteur has their own individual style and signature  A prime example of Ridley Scott’s Auteur style in Blade Runner is when Deckard is being shown the Replicant’s by the police chief????? As there are many elements to this scene which are true to Scott’s Auteur style and his motivations to do the film. Visually the scene fits his auteur style as he uses smoke to cover the two characters faces, which establishes the genre as noir but it is also part of Ridley Scott’s style which we also see throughout the film, he uses a lot of smoke in this dystopian Los Angeles to show just how dystopian it all is. The use of Technology in this scene is interesting because again it establishes the genre as science fiction and this is a theme he
